Fiberaccelerator refining process fiber pulp steam pressure cyclon separation ppi pulp and paper TMP CTMP plants mill. A FIBER ACCELERATOR is a patented device replacing conventional equipment for the separation of steam and fiber, e.g. "pressure cyclones", in TMP, CTMP and MDF-fiberboard plants. In such plants where energy consumption for refining is considerable, the recovery of steam generated in the process is essential. It's well known that fiber carry over with the generated steam to the steam recovery system is causing problems such ac plugging, stoppages for cleaning and in some cases blow-out of steam and fiber to the environment. Most TMP mills report, they have to shut down 3-4 times a year for cleaning of heat exchangers and steam lines. The reason is that conventional equipment for separating steam and fiber, e.g. "pressure cyclones", is not very efficient, fiber carry-over with the steam is measured in kilograms and tenth of kilograms per ton of pulp produced and additionally there is a sensitivity to operating condition, which may, occasionally, cause the majority of fibers to go with the steam. These problems can be solved by replacing the conventional fiber/steam separating equipment with the FIBER ACCELERATOR.
